That one salvage job in the Gulf where everything went sideways
We were pulling up a piece of old pipeline off Galveston last fall, and the winch cable snapped at about 80 feet. The whole section dropped back down, stirred up a silt cloud you couldn't see through, and wrapped around the support legs of a nearby platform. It took our crew three extra days of careful cutting with hydraulic shears to free it without causing more damage. The client was not happy about the delay, but we avoided a much bigger problem. Has anyone else had a simple lift turn into a multi-day knot untying exercise?

Three extra days just to cut it free? That is a NIGHTMARE of a timeline. I would have lost my mind dealing with that client.
