Did you happen to see what kind of anchor it was, like was it a old style one with the big flukes or a modern one...

Man that pier has been there forever. My granddad used to tell me stories about diving off that thing back in the 50s before it got all closed off. He said the current around there was always tricky especially when the tide switched. Funny thing is I went out there last summer with my cousin and we found an old rusty anchor chain just sitting on the bottom maybe 20 feet down. We tried to pull it up but it was way too heavy and the tide was starting to come in so we had to swim back. Still wonder what else is scattered around that pier.
