Watching a 12 year old at my LCS last Saturday explain the entire Krakoa era to his dad was a TRIP

This kid was rattling off House of X issues and plot points like he lived through it, meanwhile I've been reading since the 90s and still forget which Dawn of X trade had the Exodus storyline. Has anyone else had a younger fan school THEM on modern continuity?

Nodded along reading this and @ivan522 nailed it. That kid probably internalized the whole Quiet Council drama but hasn't sat through the slog of reading X-Men Red or the weird space stuff. I'd take that kind of deep fan knowledge over someone who skimmed a wiki any day. Just different kinds of knowing, I guess.
