Used to chase every single issue, now I just grab the trades
Back in high school I'd hit three shops in San Antonio every Wednesday and blow my whole paycheck on single issues, bagging and boarding each one. Last year I counted my long boxes and realized I had 14 short runs that were missing some random middle issue, so I couldn't even reread them without hunting online. Now I wait for the trade and read the whole arc in two nights on the couch. The wednesday ritual was fun but the story is what I actually care about, and I got tired of paying $4.99 a pop for 22 pages. Anyone else switch over, or am I just getting lazy in my old age?
