That one weird issue everyone hyped up actually delivered this time

I picked up a copy of Strange Adventures #224 from a bin at a convention in Portland for $2, and I figured it would be another overrated silver age book. But the art by Neal Adams and the weird sci-fi courtroom drama genuinely hooked me for the whole reading. Has anyone else grabbed a cheap book you were skeptical about and ended up loving it?
