Talked to a guy at the shop about collecting habits
He said he only buys comics from the 80s or earlier. Thinks modern stuff is all event comics and crossovers. I've been grabbing new issues every week for years. Made me stop and look at my pull list. How many of you stick to a specific era versus keeping up with current runs?

That "stop and look at my pull list" part got me. Why overthink it? If you enjoy the new books you're buying, who cares what some guy at the shop thinks. Reading comics isn't homework. I grab stuff from all over, old and new. Sometimes a modern run is great, sometimes it's not. The era doesn't guarantee anything. Are you still having fun with your weekly haul?

It's not about overthinking, it's about the shop guy's vibe killing the fun. A good shop makes you feel welcome, not judged for your picks.
