Saw a kid explain the entire backstory of a minor Batman villain to his dad at the comic shop
I was at my local shop on Saturday flipping through some Silver Age reprints when I heard this kid, maybe 10 years old, talking to his dad about the guy who runs the Iceberg Lounge. He went off for like 5 minutes about how Oswald Cobblepot used that place as a front for his criminal operations and even named the exact issue where Batman first figured it out. The dad just stood there nodding along like he was getting a lecture. It stuck with me because the kid was so passionate about this one minor detail that most adult readers would skip over. Makes me wonder how many other young fans out there are walking encyclopedias on stuff like that. Have you guys ever had a kid school you on something obscure like that at a shop?

Did he start with the Penguin's umbrella trick too?

Didn't I see something about him using a rubber chicken first or am I mixing up my Batman villains?

@rodriguez.cora yeah the rubber chicken thing was from a silver age story, and @lee_ward54 that kid probably knew every umbrella trick too
