Rant: My comic convention backpack turned into a mosh pit for longboxes

I hauled 14 longboxes through the Dallas Fan Expo on a hand truck shaped like a shopping cart, and by hour three the casters snapped while I was trying to protect a variant cover from a dude dressed as a Klingon, so now I'm wondering if anyone else brings a dolly or just accepts shoulder bruises for the rest of the day?

That cart failing mid-con is a special kind of hell. Nothing makes you feel more like a pack mule than realizing you're now the human support system for four hundred dollars of paper and cardboard. The Klingon thing just adds insult to injury, honestly. I've learned to bring my own straps and a backup plan, but even then something always goes sideways. Hope your back forgives you by Monday.
