PSA: My longbox broke mid-sort and I lost a whole stack of comics
Was reorganizing my runs last Tuesday and the bottom of my old white cardboard longbox just gave out right in the middle. About 50 issues from my Uncanny X-Men #150 to #200 spilled all over the garage floor and a few got bent corners. Took me an hour to re-sort and bag them all again. Has anyone else switched to those plastic snap-tight bins or are you still trusting cardboard?

Did you try the plastic ones from Home Depot?

Hold up, you're still using those old cardboard longboxes? A buddy of mine had the exact same thing happen to him with his X-Men run too, like issue 175 was the first one to hit the concrete. He swore off cardboard after that and went with the plastic BCW bins from Amazon. Said it was a pain to move them around at first cause they're heavier but now he just tosses them on a dolly when he needs to reorganize. The lids snap on tight too so even if you drop one you're not gonna have comics sliding everywhere. He's been using them for like three years now and hasn't had a single issue.
