Pro tip: bargain bin hunting with a pull list actually works
Been collecting for 5 years and always blew cash on new #1s at my LCS in Austin. Last month I tried a different trick, ask the owner to hold back cheap back issues from their dollar boxes before they hit the floor. Got a full 1991 X-Force run for $42 after 2 visits, covers are rough but pages are clean. Owner said most fans skip this because they don't ask, so now I do it every Wednesday. Anyone else got a hidden shortcut for scoring older books without paying eBay prices?
