My local shop's pull list binder finally clicked for me last Tuesday

I've been grabbing whatever looked cool off the rack for years, but last week the guy behind the counter at Cosmic Comics in Spokane showed me how his 20 year pull list binder worked, with tabs for every Wednesday. It hit me that I was missing half the stories because I never committed to a series past issue 3. Has anyone else switched to a pull list and felt like they were reading comics for the first time?
