My comic shop got flooded 2 weeks ago and I watched a guy save his $400 X-Men run with a hair dryer
The pipe above the long boxes at my local shop in Akron burst on a Tuesday morning and water came down right onto the back wall shelves. The owner was out getting coffee so about six of us regulars just started grabbing armfuls and moving them to the front counter. One guy pulled out a little travel hair dryer from his car and started drying off his X-Men run that he had on hold, page by page, and it took him almost an hour. The shop lost maybe 30 books total but his stack came through fine. Has anyone else had to rescue their pull list from a shop disaster like this?
