My buddy swore reading in silence was a myth, now my collection is collecting dust

He told me last month that doing a full reread of every issue, even the bad ones, was a waste of time and I should just skim the art... I ignored him and spent 3 weeks going through my 200 issue run of Uncanny X-Men and honestly I feel more burnt out than entertained. Would you listen to a friend who says you're overthinking comic fandom, or trust your gut on how deep to dive?

I used to think the whole "you're overthinking it" thing was just people being lazy, but your burnout after that X-Men run honestly flipped my view. There's a line between appreciating the art and forcing yourself through every filler arc just to say you did. Sometimes your gut telling you to skim is actually just respecting your own time.
