Finally got my sister to read a comic after years of thinking they're just for kids

I left my copy of 'Ms. Marvel' on her nightstand as a joke, and she actually finished it in one go. She texted me asking if Kamala Khan has her own series now (which felt awesome, to be honest). Now I'm trying to find similar books with relatable characters for her age group. Any suggestions for someone new to comics but not to good stories?

Try "Saga" next, it's got that perfect mix of wild storytelling and real heart. "Paper Girls" is another great one, super relatable for anyone who grew up a bit weird. Both are easy to find in collected volumes too.

Seeing 'grown up a bit weird' everywhere now, stories like these make feeling different almost cool, lmao.

But are those the best picks for a new reader? In my experience, books like Saga can be pretty intense for a first timer, even with @grant.anna pointing out the relatable weirdness. Maybe try something lighter like 'Nimona' to keep the momentum going.
