That cheap burr grinder I bought took 3 months to realize it was ruining my coffee.

I got a budget burr grinder off Amazon for $40 back in March. It seemed fine at first but my morning brews kept tasting weird and bitter. After two months I finally checked the burrs and they were chipped and uneven. I messed with the settings every day trying to fix the taste before I figured out the real problem. Has anyone else had a grinder fall apart like that without you noticing right away?

took 3 months to realize it was ruining my coffee" - yeah that hits hard, I had the same thing with a $50 one from Target. Switched to hand grinding with a ceramic burr and my brew taste finally leveled out.

Oh man @emma349, you get it completely. Blade grinders are just dust makers in disguise. Ceramic burr hand grinders are the real game changer for sure.
