Shoutout to the guy at the Portland cafe who called my pour-over 'dishwater'

I was at a small spot on Division Street last fall, just trying a new single-origin, and this older guy at the next table leaned over and said, 'Son, if you're gonna drink that dishwater, you might as well just order tea.' He was dead serious, and it completely killed the vibe for me. Has anyone else had a snobby comment ruin a coffee moment for them?
