Serious question, has anyone else had a moka pot valve blow hot grounds all over their kitchen ceiling?
So I was rushing to make a pot before a 7am meeting and I did the one thing everyone says not to do, I packed the basket too tight and cranked the heat on my 3 cup Bialetti. About two minutes in, the safety valve let go and shot a geyser of gritty coffee sludge straight up, and I'm still finding grounds stuck to the light fixture in my apartment near Austin. My roommate walked in, looked at the mess, and just said 'we're getting a French press.' I scrubbed for an hour and the ceiling still looks like a Jackson Pollock painting. Anyone got a trick for cleaning dried grounds off a textured ceiling, or should I just paint over it?
