French press vs aeropress for my morning routine in Boston
I used a French press for 2 years but switched to an aeropress last week and my coffee is way cleaner and faster. Anybody else find the aeropress easier to deal with on a busy morning?

Ehhh, I gotta push back a little on the 'way cleaner' part. AeroPress gives you a cleaner cup if your French press grind is too fine or you let it sit too long before plunging. But a properly dialed-in French press with a coarse grind and a 4-minute steep is actually really clean. It's more about technique than the device itself. The AeroPress is definitely faster for cleanup though, just pop the puck.

Exactly. The grind size is the REAL game changer with French press. I've been using a medium-coarse grind instead of the usual coarse on my Baratza and it comes out way cleaner with almost NO silt at the bottom. Most people just dump in whatever grind they have and blame the press. Also, try a 30 second bloom pour before the full steep. Really breaks up the grounds and gives a brighter taste without any muddiness. The AeroPress is foolproof sure, but a dialed in French press with the right technique gives you that full body and still a super clean finish.
