My entire project broke because of one missing semicolon

Spent three hours on Wednesday trying to get my first JavaScript function to run. The console just kept saying 'unexpected token'. Checked my logic, my variables, everything. My friend finally looked at it and pointed to line 15. I forgot a semicolon. One character. That was it. Felt like the biggest idiot. Has anyone else lost a whole evening to a tiny syntax error like that?

Three whole hours on a single semicolon? That's brutal, honestly. The worst part is how the error message never actually helps you find it. Just some vague "unexpected token" nonsense. Did you feel like throwing your laptop when your friend spotted it in two seconds?

Oh man, that hits close to home. Once spent an entire afternoon because I used a comma instead of a period in a config file. The whole system just refused to start. The feeling when you finally see it is a special kind of stupid, like your brain just blue screened. You're definitely not alone in that club.
