Just crossed 1000 lines of code in my first project without deleting any

I hit exactly 1024 lines on a little calculator app I've been building, and it surprised me how much that round number made me stop and realize I actually stuck with something. Did any of you have a specific number like that make it feel real for the first time?

I disagree with barbara_sanchez88 about it being weirder than a work milestone. A thousand commits on a renaming script sounds like overkill for something so basic, honestly. Line counts are just vanity numbers anyway, they don't prove the code works well or does anything useful. Reaching 1024 lines just means you wrote a lot of stuff, not that you wrote good stuff. You could have 50 lines that do more than your thousand ever will.

my buddy hit exactly 1000 commits on a dumb little script he wrote for renaming files and he said it felt weirder than hitting a big milestone at work. did you celebrate with anything or just keep coding?
