I finally picked Python over JavaScript for my first real project

I spent like two weeks going back and forth on which language to learn first for building a small budget tracker. I kept seeing people say JavaScript is more useful, but Python just clicked faster when I tried the tutorials. After 3 days of messing with Python loops and lists, I had a working script that tracked my $50 weekly grocery spending. It was way less frustrating than when I tried to learn JS last month and gave up on callbacks. Has anyone else had better luck sticking with one language over another for their first project?

Hold on, you picked Python over JavaScript for your first project and you're asking if that's a bad move? Wait, you said you had a grocery budget script running in 3 days. That's legit. A lot of people spend weeks just trying to get a simple to-do list working in JavaScript and quit. The callback stuff is a total mess when you're new. Python just lets you write code and see it work right away without all that overhead. You made the right call for sure. Forget what people say about JavaScript being "more useful" - useful doesn't matter if you give up before you finish anything.
