Can we talk about the time I tried to make a simple 'Hello World' program in Python and my cat walked on the keyboard...
I ended up with a file named 'helllllllllo.py' that printed 'wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwworld' because my cat sat on the 'w' key for a solid 5 seconds, which honestly taught me more about file naming and keyboard inputs than the tutorial did.

That's the best kind of coding lesson. My dog once deleted an entire project folder by stepping on the power strip. You really learn to save your work after that.

Oh man, @chen.phoenix, the power strip incident is a CLASSIC. After my cat did the same thing, I got a UPS battery backup. It gives you a few minutes to save and shut down cleanly. I also set my editor to auto-save every 30 seconds. And now I always use git and push to a remote server, so even if the whole computer dies, my code is safe online. It turns panic into a minor annoyance.
