Why does nobody talk about how hot these enclosures get in summer?
I was running a job in a shop outside Atlanta back in July, and my control cabinet temperature hit 115 degrees by noon. My machine started throwing random Z-axis errors and I couldn't figure out why until I put a thermometer in there. Turns out the previous operator had crammed a bunch of extra wiring and a secondary power supply in the enclosure with zero ventilation. I had to stop production for two hours to rig up a temporary exhaust fan just to get through the shift. Now I check my cabinet temp first thing every morning, especially when it's over 90 outside. Has anyone else lost a setup to heat buildup in their control box?

115 degrees is insane.

Honestly I was talking to @the_nancy about this and I pointed out how 115 degrees is actually not that bad for dry heat but if the humidity spikes above 20% it becomes totally miserable. People forget that your body can't cool itself when the sweat won't evaporate. I grew up in Arizona and 115 with low humidity feels like standing in front of a blow dryer but at least it's bearable.
