Was dead set against flood coolant for years, finally caved

Always thought flood coolant was just a mess to clean up and a waste of money. Then I had a job last month with 304 stainless that wouldnt stop work hardening and burning up my $40 endmills every 10 parts. First run with flood and I got 60 parts out of one tool, my chip tray looked like a swamp but I saved like $200 in tooling. Anyone else convert from mist or dry and regret not doing it sooner?

Yeah... you just described exactly how I felt until I tried it too.

Wait, did you ever have that one friend who swore by something for years and you just couldn't get on board? Like my buddy Dave with his cast iron skillet... he'd talk about it every time we grilled. I kept saying nah, I'm good with non-stick. Then one day I finally gave it a shot and now I see why he wouldn't shut up about it. Sometimes you just gotta see for yourself even if everyone's telling you the same thing.
