Old timer told me to rough in the part loose, I argued for 20 min
My lead guy at the shop in Dayton kept saying to leave .015 for the finishing pass on these aluminum brackets, but I ran it tight at .005 and the part warped right off the vise. He didnt even gloat, just pointed at the scrap bin and walked off. Anyone else fight a experienced guy on setup and eat the cost?

That scrap bin has a way of teaching faster than any argument can. Old school guys dont need to gloat because the part does the talking for them. Next time I'm just gonna nod, do it their way, and save my energy for the beer after work.
