Chose the cheap soft jaws over the good ones and now I'm remaking the whole batch
Had a run of 200 aluminum parts last Tuesday and went with the $90 soft jaws instead of the $300 set my gut said to buy. By part 60 the jaws had bell-mouthed and half the bore sizes were creeping past tolerance, so I'm standing here at 9pm re-cutting the lot. What's your cutoff for cheaping out on workholding before it bites you?
