After 60 hours of running that cheap Chinese spindle I got off eBay against my better judgment it's still holding within 0.0005

I figured it would crap out in the first week but it's actually cutting cleaner than my old name brand one, anyone else had a surprise tool that just wouldn't quit on them?

Chinese quality control is wild it's either garbage or god tier" - that's been my experience too. I wonder if part of it is that the cheap spindles don't have the same QC standards, so you get one that's actually a decent build that slipped through. Meanwhile the name brand ones are overengineered to hit a spec that doesn't matter for most of us. I've got a no-name collet holder that's run thirty thousand parts and still holds within a thou, but the Tormach one I bought at the same time started wobbling after a year.

Gotta love it when the sketchy eb special ends up being the workhorse. 60 hours in a row. Chinese quality control is wild it's either garbage or god tier.
