Update: the sky over my street looked gray in March and the same view looks blue now, and I can't decide if it's the clouds or my camera
Back in March I took a picture of the clouds over my block in Boise and the whole sky came out flat and gray. Last week I shot the same view from the same spot at about the same time of day and it was a deep blue with fat white cumulus stacked up. Same phone, same lens, no filter on either one. My neighbor swears it's just summer air holding more moisture and fewer thin high clouds, but my brother says it's the app doing auto white balance and nothing in the sky changed at all. I get that both things can be true, and I don't want to be the guy arguing about a phone setting when the real topic is clouds. So which is it: does the sky actually look different from season to season, or am I fooling myself with camera stuff? If you have before and after shots of the same view months apart, post them, I want to see if anyone else caught this.
