Three days last July where I saw more weird clouds than the rest of the year combined

I work in a warehouse with a big skylight, so I'm always glancing up. But last July we had a heatwave and I saw a mammatus cloud that looked like udders, then a shelf cloud rolling in at dusk, and the next day a lenticular cloud hovering over a water tower (which I always thought only happened near mountains). Has anyone else had a weird run of cloud sightings like that?

One time I was driving through this flat farm town in Illinois and I saw a roll cloud that was just this massive, horizontal tube stretching across the whole sky like someone rolled out a carpet. We don't get mountains over here either, but that lenticular cloud hanging over a water tower sounds like it was trying to be something it wasnt. It reminded me of the time I saw a patch of morning glory clouds in Oklahoma, which are even rarer, but nobody around me believed it because they said they only happen up in Australia. I for real thought the heat was getting to me until a weather blog confirmed they can pop up anywhere if the conditions are just right.

No way. Morning glory clouds in Oklahoma? That's wild.
