That guy in Denver who swore lenticular clouds meant aliens

Last October I was shooting a weird stacked lenticular over the Front Range and this older guy walked up, dead serious, said it was a UFO cover-up. I told him it was just mountain wave action, and he just laughed and asked if I'd ever actually seen the wind do that. Has anyone else had a stranger try to out-weird the science on a clear day?

Man, if I had a dollar for every time someone told me lenticulars were alien motherships, I could afford a better camera to take clearer pictures of the same clouds. The last guy who tried that with me got all huffy when I showed him the satellite loop on my phone, so now I just nod and say "could be" and move on. Probably safer that way, since my UFO knowledge comes entirely from a rainy afternoon watching X-Files reruns. But hey, at least the clouds are pretty, even if the theories are a little out there.
