Swapped my phone camera for a real DSLR on a cloudy day near Austin
Used to snap cloud pics with my iPhone 12. Decent but not great. Then I borrowed my buddy's old Nikon D3300 last week. Same cloudy sky, completely different results. The DSLR caught all the wispy texture in the cirrus clouds. Phone just turned them into a white blur. Anyone else level up their cloud game with a real camera?

Oh yeah, my phone camera makes clouds look like I smeared butter on the lens instead of cirrus wisps. I got a cheap used Canon and my first cloud shot looked so crisp I almost dropped the camera in a creek. Pretty sure the clouds judged my old phone pics and now they're finally giving me their good side.

Same cloudy sky, completely different results" - that hit hard. My friend Jenna tried the same thing with her phone vs her husband's old Canon, and she said the phone pics looked like someone smeared vaseline on the lens compared to the DSLR. She was so mad she went out and bought her own camera the next week lol.
