Shoutout to the guy who told me lenticular clouds are fake news

I always thought those smooth lens shaped clouds were just Photoshopped pictures people passed around online. Then last Tuesday I was driving through Silverton, Colorado and saw one hovering directly over Mount Sneffels. It stayed perfectly still for like 15 minutes while every other cloud moved around it. I pulled over and just stared at it until my dog started whining. My buddy who lives there laughed and said they call them "UFO clouds" because they look so unreal. Now I keep my camera on the passenger seat every time I head that way. Has anybody else seen one and thought it was a glitch in the sky?
