Pro tip: stop shooting clouds at noon, my 11am shots from Tuesday were flat gray mush
I shot a cumulus build-up over Lake Michigan at 11am and every frame looked like wet cardboard, then went back at 7pm and got real shadow and shape. The sun was just too high to give the tops any depth. What time of day do you all go out for the good stuff?
