My $80 cloud identification app was a total waste of cash
It kept freezing up and mislabeling basic cumulus clouds, so I just look things up online now. Has anyone found a decent app that actually works?

Eighty bucks to get told a fluffy white cloud is a rainstorm? Sounds like the app was the real cloud, fogging up your wallet. I just use my phone's camera and a free weather site, works better than any fancy download. What did they even spend the money on, paying someone to stare at the sky?

Oh man, my buddy paid for one of those. It sent him a "severe alert" for a sunny day last week. He spent twenty minutes looking for a storm that wasn't there.

Seriously, the money probably went into licensing the official government radar data. Those free sites get delayed feeds, but a paid app might buy direct access to the National Weather Service servers for real-time storm tracks. So you're paying for the faster data pipe, not the cloud picture.
