Found out cirrus clouds can stretch over 100 miles, and now I look at the sky totally different
I was reading a weather blog last Tuesday and it said a single cirrus cloud can stretch more than 100 miles across because of how high up the ice crystals form. So I started checking the ones over my apartment in Boise and they really do just keep going past the whole city. Does anyone else track how far these thin wispy ones actually reach, or am I the only one measuring clouds with a map now?
