A stranger's note about my lenticular shot made me rethink my filters
Last month I posted a lenticular cloud pic I took near Denver and someone commented that my heavy contrast filter made it look like a painted backdrop instead of a real sky. At first I was annoyed, but I compared the edited version to the raw file and they had a point. I switched to just a slight clarity bump and started shooting in raw mode on my old Canon. Now I'm getting way more texture detail in the wispy edges, which is the whole reason I love spotting these formations. Has anyone else gotten feedback that made them simplify their editing process?

Hated raw files before, but you're right. Now I see the real sky too.
