Swapped my lawn for native plants in Phoenix and got a surprise
I replaced my front yard grass with desert plants last spring to save water, but I didn't expect the electric bill to drop by $15 a month from less heat around the house. Turns out all that dead grass and dirt was baking the walls. Anyone else see a utility cost change after switching landscaping?
Bet you never thought you'd get paid $15 a month just to have a yard that actually belongs in the desert. Guess your AC finally caught a break from roasting that dirt patch.
