My solar panel install almost got ruined by a surprise hailstorm in Tulsa

I was on a roof in Tulsa last month finishing a 5kW solar install when the sky went dark and golf ball sized hail started coming down. We had to scramble to cover the panels with tarps, but three still got cracked. The homeowner was super understanding, and we replaced them the next day, but it was a stressful reminder that climate change is making extreme weather more common. Has anyone else had a project nearly wrecked by a sudden storm?
