My heat pump install dragged on 5 months longer than the quote said

Honestly, the salesman said 3 weeks back in April, but between permit delays and a backordered compressor, we just got it running in September. The worst part was finding out the old ductwork needed resealing, which added $1,100 and two extra visits. Has anyone else had a contractor quote a timeline that turned out to be totally made up?
