Finally swapped out my old gas leaf blower for a battery one
I live in a neighborhood where people are pretty chill about noise, but I got tired of the smell and the hassle of mixing gas. Picked up a Ryobi 40v blower on sale for $99 last weekend. Used it for the first time yesterday to clear my driveway and it handled the job fine, even with wet leaves. The battery only lasted about 25 minutes, which is less than I hoped, but it's quiet enough that my neighbor actually thanked me for not waking up her baby. Has anyone else made the switch and found a battery that lasts longer?

Does that 25 minutes include using it on high speed the whole time or did you run it on low?

Battery chargers can actually make a big difference here. Some Ryobi chargers are slower and don't fully condition the battery to hold its max charge over time. You might try picking up a rapid charger on sale, it usually helps the battery stay stronger longer. Have you noticed if the blower cuts out early or just runs out of power gradually?
