Why does nobody talk about the Fourth of July parking mess in Bay Village?
Tried to catch the fireworks at Bay Village on the 4th and spent 40 minutes circling the same three streets off Lake Road before giving up and parking a mile away. The weird part was that half the driveways sat empty while people idled in the road, like nobody wanted to be the one to knock on a stranger's door and ask. How do you all handle the parking situation down there?
A buddy of mine went through this exact thing two years back and swore he was done with Bay Village on the 4th. He ended up parking in some dentist's lot on Dover and the guy came out yelling at him halfway through the show. Turned out the dentist was also at the fireworks so he just stood there yelling at an empty car. Now my friend just parks at the shopping center on Detroit and walks the half mile, takes like ten minutes and zero stress. The empty driveway thing kills me though, people treat the whole neighborhood like a museum instead of knocking and asking. Worst case someone says no and you move on.
