Question about the new Westlake parking restrictions on Center Ridge
I was reading the Westlake city newsletter last night and found out they added 68 new no-parking signs along Center Ridge near the Clague intersection. Apparently it's because of the backup from the new apartment construction. Has anyone else noticed how tight it gets through there during rush hour now?

This whole parking removal thing feels like the same pattern where cities treat symptoms instead of causes. They yank parking because of construction backups but never address why there's a backup in the first place. It's like how stores always add more signs saying "don't touch" instead of just putting things behind glass or making space for people. Honestly these quick fixes always just push the problem somewhere else, usually onto residents who have fewer options now. What happens when those apartment people finish moving in and still have nowhere to park their cars on the street?
