My barber on Madison Ave in Lakewood told me his shop survived because he stopped chasing new customers
I was getting a cut last week and he said business got easier once he quit coupons and just focused on the regulars who come every 3 weeks. That hit me because I keep trying to grow my client list instead of just doing good work for the people already here. Anyone else in the westshore notice that hanging onto what you have beats chasing what you do not?
Wait, he just quit coupons completely? That seems crazy risky for a barber, but I guess if the regulars keep coming back every 3 weeks you don't really need to chase anyone new.
