I finally gave up on Lakewood's west side dog park after 3 visits and switched to Bradstreet's nature trail off Center Ridge

My golden retriever was constantly getting muddy and stressed at the crowded dog park by the water treatment plant, but after trying the wooded trail with fewer people and more smells, he actually listens off leash now - has anyone else found a quieter spot for their reactive dog out here?

Not to be that person, but Bradstreet's nature trail is actually in Rocky River, not Center Ridge directly. You have to turn off Center Ridge onto Wooster Road to get to the parking lot. I run there with my husky mix who's also kinda reactive, and it's usually pretty empty on weekday mornings before 9. Definitely way less muddy than the west side spots too.

Oh totally, I know exactly what you mean about weekday mornings being quiet. @faithj10 my neighbor used to take her golden retriever there before work and said the same thing about the mud.
