Finally got my backyard patio in shape after 2 years of neglect
I moved into my place in Lakewood about 3 years ago and the backyard was a mess. The concrete patio had cracks everywhere and weeds growing through like crazy. I kept saying I'd fix it but always put it off until last month when I finally rented a pressure washer from the Ace on Detroit Ave. Spent a whole Saturday blasting out all the dirt and crud from between the pavers. Then I grabbed a bag of polymeric sand from Home Depot and filled all the gaps. It's not perfect but man it looks 10x better than before. I even found an old fire pit ring buried under some brush that I cleaned up with the washer too. Now I'm thinking about getting some chairs out there before summer really hits. Anyone got tips for keeping weeds out of paver gaps long term?

Yeah the little maintenance stuff sneaks up on you. That's how everything goes honestly. You ignore one small crack in a sidewalk and next thing you know the whole slab is heaving. Same with relationships car maintenance whatever.

The polymeric sand actually needs to be activated with water or it won't harden right.

I heard boiling water and salt works better than chemicals for killing paver weeds.
