Appreciation post: the $4 street parking trick in Lakewood that I figured wouldn't work

I park near Detroit Ave in Lakewood most weekdays and kept getting hit with those $25 tickets because I missed the 2 hour limit. A guy at the gas station on Warren told me to just move my car to the next block over at the 90 minute mark instead of feeding the meter, and I laughed at him. Tried it for three weeks straight and haven't gotten one ticket yet. The meters reset by block, so it actually works if you don't mind the walk. Anyone else do this or am I just lucky so far?
