Jeez, that’s rough. I bet the issue isn't just the brush itself though (unless it’s made of paper mache). Have you checked if your chimney has any rough spots or a misaligned liner that could have grabbed the bristles and snapped the thing? A lot of times people blame the tool when the real problem is the flue has some weird angle or buildup that’s basically a trap for any brush.

My buddy Mark snapped a $200 brush inside his flue on the third house last fall, total pain to dig out. @hall.quinn is right, his liner turned out to be shifting at a weird joint.
