Old farmhouse flue put up a fight for 6 hours last Tuesday
I got a call from a lady out near Lancaster who said her wood stove was backing up smoke. Figured it was a basic bird nest or creosote, but when I ran the camera I found a collapsed clay liner section about halfway up. Took me six hours to chip it out and drop a stainless liner through, and I only charged her for four. Has anyone else had to deal with a busted clay tile that just crumbles every time you touch it? What's your go-to move for those, knock it out or try to patch it in place?
