Had an old-timer tell me my brush was too stiff...

One of the old guys on my crew said I was scratching the flue liner with that stiff wire brush. I switched to a poly brush and it made a huge difference on those smooth stainless liners. Anyone else run into pushback on brush material?

Ngl, I had the same thing happen. Old timer on my crew swore I was scratching the liner with a wire brush too. Switched to a poly one and never looked back, especially on those stainless liners. Night and day difference.
