Guy in Cleveland asked if I was "certified" and pulled out a laminated card from a weekend class
Had a homeowner on the west side hand me a laminated cert from a two day class he took online and ask if my crew had the same paper before letting us on the roof. I told him I've swept for 11 years and NFPA 211 doesn't care about his card, then showed him the actual creosote glaze we pulled out of his flue so he could see what a real job looks like. How do you all deal with the folks who think a printout beats a decade on ladders?
